Kiverco Plant Enables O'Donovan Waste Disposal to Meet their RDF Objectives

O’Donovan (Waste Disposal) Ltd in its earliest form was started by Joe O’Donovan in the 1950’s. Today, O’Donovan Ltd is one of London’s largest and leading independent waste management companies.

Employing over 140 staff and with an impressive array of fleet and plant, O’Donovan Waste Disposal Ltd are seen to be a forward-thinking industry leader.

Offering Skip hire and Roll on/off Bins, Waste Management, Tipper and Grab Lorry services, Recycled Aggregates and Screening, Road sweepers, Wheelie Bins and collection and finally Demolition Services, O’Donovan Waste Disposal Ltd continue to focus on providing an excellent service combined with environmental, ethical and social responsibility.

The Challenge

The business constantly strives to produce consistently high quality RDF materials that meet the expectations of their supply chain. In order to fulfil those expectations the customer needed a new plant with customised parts to the solution in order to be able to produce high quality RDF materials.

The Solution

O’Donovan has been a Kiverco customer for several years and while exploring the RDF sector, Kiverco was the first port of call for discussion about the right product and service. Kiverco, with their vast experience of providing bespoke recycling solutions worldwide for the past 20 years, understood the customer’s needs and requirements and designed a system that matched the requirements alongside competitive pricing. The new system included a belt feeder, a trommel and a picking station with a blower. This picking station was later extended (due to moving to a bigger facility) and a fines clean up system was put in.

By designing this bespoke system Kiverco was enabling O’Donovan to meet their challenging RDF objectives and satisfy the supply chain with high quality RDF materials.

Richard Clarke, Operations Manager said:

“We are looking forward to continuing to work with Kiverco as our production process evolves and develops. For example, an important future RDF development requirement for the industry in the UK is the increased ‘Energy from Waste’ infrastructure and capacity within the UK with government support and when we get to incorporating this into our offering, Kiverco will be an important partner for us within that process."
