Renfrewshire-based Recycling firm, WRC Recycling, continues to expand with the design, supply, and installation of a new multi-million-pound Kiverco Recycling Plant, resulting in a major recruitment drive in the local community.
The family-run business which offers bespoke waste solutions to each client has seen exponential growth in recent years, with the latest investment in Kiverco demonstrating the company’s commitment to achieving a zero-waste society through heavily investing in Scotland and its waste infrastructure. The plant, which is set for completion in mid-2022, will allow the business to deal with a greater volume of material on-site whilst recovering a higher quality recyclable product for onward processing.
As a result of the business’s forthcoming expansion, WRC is delighted to launch a major recruitment drive across a variety of business areas which will create several jobs in the local community. The range of positions across the Group includes an experienced Site Supervisor and Senior Business Development Manager, as well as several Site Operative and Plant Operative positions.
WRC’s expanding workforce is reflective of the scale of works ahead, and the business looks forward to welcoming its new recruits in the coming months.
Colin Blakely, Operations Manager at WRC, said:
“On behalf of WRC, I am delighted to announce the major recruitment drive we, as a business, are undertaking as a result of our recent growth.
With the Scottish Government’s plans to become a zero-waste economy now underway, this is an extremely exciting and pivotal time to secure a role in the Environmental industry, and WRC has several positions ready to be filled. As a business, we are committed to investing in the local Renfrewshire community and the positions available will offer fantastic progression opportunities to each of the successful candidates.
Our rapid growth is a testament to the efforts of our fantastic workforce, and we are extremely excited about the future of WRC and all of its employees”.
Marcus McAlinden, Sales Manager at Kiverco stated:
“We are very grateful to Robert, Colin, and the team at WRC Recycling for investing heavily with us, demonstrating their commitment to processing waste properly. We appreciate how important it is to invest wisely as a family-owned and run business and we are very confident that WRC Recycling will continue to grow and develop their business with the new plant at the very heart of what they do. They have made significant steps in the recycling market in the greater Glasgow area and with their vision and passion, I’m confident that Kiverco can help them achieve their objectives of reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and ultimately achieving a Zero waste society.”
