Kiverco & Mick George Partnership Shortlisted for National Recycling Award

Following last year’s installation of a recycling plant at Mick George’s St. Ives site, Kiverco & Mick George are delighted to be shortlisted as finalists for Business Partnership of the Year at the upcoming National Recycling Awards.

Mick George, who offer a wide range of waste management services, approached Kiverco to design and manufacture a new recycling plant to meet the growing demand for its services. Restricted space at other sites and the need to sort material to achieve higher recovery rates all led the company to look for a fresh solution to these issues.

Kiverco, who are widely recognized for designing and manufacturing robust recycling plants, developed a solution that ensured the plant was reliable and incorporated the very latest in sorting technology. This means that the plant maximises recovery rates and utilises all processed material, to meet the goal of zero waste to landfill.

John Lines, Sales Director at Kiverco says: We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. To be nominated with Mick George for this project underlines the work both companies have put into achieving a robust and modern facility. From the outset, Mick George knew exactly what they wanted to achieve and through our extensive consultation process, Kiverco were able to ensure that we fully understood their needs and were able to incorporate these requirements into the final plant design, using some of the best available equipment. It is fair to say that after months of operation, the plant has more than exceeded expectations.

Michael George, Contracts Manager at Mick George states, "It was critically important not only that our chosen supplier had the experience to design and build this plant, but that they were also willing to listen to what we wanted and then incorporate our requirements into the final plant design and build. I was confident that Kiverco could do this and I have not been disappointed.”
